    • Should the district become more active in the debate over increased development in the county’s Agricultural Reserve?
    We offer suggestions and the direction we would like the county to assume in the Ag Reserve. The Ag Reserve has dwindled down to less than half of it's original size which went out to Military Trail years ago. Growth is inevitable and unfortuneately "Money" talks!!! The builders are giving the people what they want and where they want to live but it is in a delicate ecosystem that cannot be lessened by more growth esp. in the Ag Reserve.
    Would you like to see the Palm Beach Soil and Water Conservation District expand some of its conservation programs?
    Yes and esp in the area of our mobile irrigation lab which could help conserve water useage by growers, communites and home owners (commercial & residentual) but we are limited funding wise from expanding and outreach programs.
    Is there a role to play for small agencies like the district that lack taxing and regulatory authority?
    Yes. Education. Bring info and facts to our co commissioners (and citizens) on the direction and protection needed to conserve and protect our county's natural resources and to be the environmental watchdog towards this cause.
