Yes! The AG Reserve has changed drastically from what the original County Commissioners voted on. I am disappointed over the rapid expansion of this area without keeping agriculture properties or larger parcels in place. Agriculture is important for Palm Beach County and should growth be considered, a "Smart Development" committee be in place to make sure where ever growth occurs we must be sensitive to our environment and natural resources. The District has been actively involved with County Commissioners through the "Round Table" discussions of growth in the western communities. The District also works closely with the farmers and nurserymen in the Ag areas.

Yes, the District currently works with federal, state and local agencies. We are always looking for new ways to expand our conservation and education programs.

Absolutely, smaller agencies like the Soil & Water Conservation District can run more efficiently than larger agencies due to bare bones budget. The 5 Board Members do not receive any compensation, keeping the budget low. This agency is very important to Palm Beach County as we manage programs for the county, keeping expenses low.
