Considering the expected passage of a homestead exemption increase in November, should your community compensate by increasing the property tax rate?
    How competitors responded:
Please explain your position on the homestead exemption increase and increasing property tax rate.
I do not support an increase in the Village property tax rate. The current Village operation must learn to do "more with less" thereby becoming more lean, productive, and efficient.
Do you support growth in your community?
    How competitors responded:
Please explain your position on growth.
All development/growth within our Village must adhere to the Code of Ordinances and/or any related documents adopted by the Village of Wellington, Palm Beach County, State of Florida, and Federal Government.
Is your community doing enough to maintain services such as police and roads?
    How competitors responded:
Please explain your position on maintaining services.
POLICE: The Village currently has 57 uniformed police officers; this appears low. A comprehensive review and analysis of the public safety operation is annual necessary.
ROADS: A comprehensive Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), including annual cash flow requirements, must be completed for all assets. Our Public Works assets are valued at millions of dollars. The cash flow analysis will determine available deposits, expected inflows, and required expenses to ensure sufficient liquidity.
Should commercial and/or aviation development be allowed in the Equestrian Preserve?
    How competitors responded:
Please explain your position about commercial and/or aviation development in the Equestrian Preserve.
All development within our Village must adhere to the Code of Ordinances and/or any related documents adopted by the Village of Wellington, Palm Beach County, State of Florida, and Federal Government.
Do you support light rail or other mass transit along Southern Boulevard?
    How competitors responded:
Please explain your position about light rail or mass transit along Southern Boulevard.
It appears not economically feasible in the near future.
