Briefly highlight your key campaign issues and positions.
I am running to address the issues that I believe will define this office in the coming decade: jobs, water, and our 2nd Amendment rights.
Should your office's duties regulating firearm ownership be transferred to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement?
Explain your position on which agency should oversee firearms ownership.
The office charged with overseeing this program should be elected directly by the people.
Should the agriculture commissioner become an advocate for renegotiating NAFTA?
Explain your position on renegotiating NAFTA.
NAFTA has decimated Florida fruit and vegetable industry. It is also not truly free trade as Mexico and Canada have always maintained protective tariffs against select US products. We should either move to true tariff-free trade or focus on protecting our own key domestic industries. At the very least, we should require foreign produce to meet the same environmental standards as our domestic production.
Would you support moving consumer services into a separate agency?
Explain your position on moving consumer services out of the agriculture department.
Any change as significant as this proposal would need to be discussed within the context of the entire Cabinet and their individual roles.
