Morgan Johnson was the youngest and one of only two teenagers who died from a heroin-related overdose in Palm Beach County in 2015.

She died in a house near Interstate 95 and Belvedere Road, a few blocks from the sober home she had left after arguing with operators about her desire to talk on the phone to her 3-year-old daughter in Texas.

Morgan had battled drugs since she was 14, said the grandmother who raised her, and had come to West Palm to get clean. She had overdosed a week earlier, police said.

When West Palm police spoke to her grandmother about Morgan's death, the grandmother told police she always knew she would get such a call.

Morgan was 19.
